The hire period is usually 4 days but if you require longer then this could be arranged as long as they are not booked for another event we are very flexible.
If you are happy to collect and return the desired items yourself then there is no minimum spend. If you would like us to deliver it would be minimum of £50 but an additional 50p per mile after the first 25 miles. This accounts for the return journey over, what will likely be, 2-3 days.
Set up and installation/ take down over two days at your choice. Liaising with suppliers may be required so contact names and numbers will be required 3 weeks before your event.
When placing your order we require £100 or 50% of your total order (the smallest value) as deposit, the balance to be paid 1 month prior to your event. In addition we also require a damage deposit of 50% of your total order value, 1 month prior to your event. Please note that monies will be returned to you once all items are checked.
Items can be collected and returned by yourselves free of charge, or delivery and collection can be arranged, please contact us for details.
All items must be returned in the same boxes, crates and trays and repackaged with care to avoid any breakages. If original package is not used, you will be charge for replacement. Items must be ready at time of collection or delivered to agreed address at agreed time.
As part of our service we take care of the cleaning of the china items, cutlery and glassware. We would request that you remove any debris before you repackage
We accept no responsibility for injury caused to any person during the hire period. All hired items are the responsibility of the client until its return.
You’ll be sent a terms and conditions form to sign or agree to, to send back to The China Library. We will request a contact number and address for the hirer and the venue. We will require you to agree to pay for any damage or loss of items after the event. For this protection we ask for a returnable deposit at the time of hiring.
It is important that you check the items carefully on delivery, if in the unlikelihood you notice any damage, please report this to us before your event.
